Welcome to Electionarium, a website about the things you would expect when it’s called “Electionarium.”
We follow politics and elections around the world, with a specific focus on the voting. From the fruited plains of the United States of America to the Outback of Australia, and many places in between, we will be there.
Electionarium: What Can You Expect To See?
As this website is based in the United States, a great deal of attention will be paid to elections under the Stars and Stripes. We also check in on our neighbors (neighbours, as they would prefer) to the north in Canada. Across the Atlantic, you can expect coverage of British and other European elections.
Swinging down into the other corner of the globe, you can also expect to see election-related pieces with regards to Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. This is not an exhaustive list.
As of the launch of this site, there are several elections looming. France will elect a new leader in the French presidential election in less than a week. The 2017 British Columbia election in Canada is in just nine days on May 9, 2017. Sticking in Canada, the opposition Conservative Party leadership vote takes place on May 27. In June, the United Kingdom heads to the polls for a snap 2017 British general election.
Those are just the polls taking place before the half-way point of June. There’s a lot more to come, so stay tuned.
The goal of Electionarium is to focus on three key points.
Upcoming elections and calendars, based in part on information obtained from IFES.org and other sources.
Election projections, utilizing our election scoreboards.
As long as we are doing those things, we are doing our job. Please visit the menu bar above to explore the various areas of the website.
