Out of 121 federal electorates, there are perhaps about two dozen Ontario ridings to watch in Canada’s September 20, 2021 federal election.
Of course, there will be more than draw attention, but we had to make the cuts somewhere. In the ridings we go into in the below video, the outcomes of these seats – most held by Liberals now – will be crucial in deciding the party of government. This is Erin O’Toole’s home province, but will the voters play nice with him and the Conservatives, or turn their backs again and help re-elect Justin Trudeau? Jagmeet Singh used to call this home, and Annamie Paul does, so will either of them factor into the Ontario equation prominently?
Majority governments run through Ontario, when they happen. It’s the single most politically consequential riding in the country, so let’s see what it does on election night.
